Uskomex was founded in 1955 after a war against China. The country of Mexico and the U.S. formed as allies during the war, that lasted for a whole year, in order to overthrow the dictators. In the end we won the war against China dictators and their land became ours. We were originally a large group of foreigners who disliked dictatorship, but we decided to set our differences and become an alliance to create China as a new country together. The people decided that it would be named Uskomex, a country based on the Democratic and Republican political views.

He felt a warm feeling as he tasted the chocolate and decided to share the feeling with his fans and other Uskomexan citizens. He told them they should worship the chocolate because chocolate could bring you happiness. After he announced his chocolate discovery, many people started to worship Chocolate. MEN.bmp Woman.jpg

Uskomexans traditional clothing is called Hanbok. On a day-to-day basis, individuality is key. Fashion is a form of expression so there are very few barriers to what you can and cannot wear.

*Food (most popular meals for all meal sittings)
G.bmp R.jpg KI.jpg
Grapes, white rice, and chocolate are the foods that are most popular during meals. These three aren't usually eaten in the same course. Grapes are usually eaten as a side in breakfast, white rice at lunch, and chocolate at dinner--they can be eaten whenever, though. Uskomexans eat a great deal of grapes because it helps prevent asthma, heart diseases, and migraines--and it's delicious. Chocolate is necessity for those who believe in Chocolism and others just enjoy eating it. White rice is eaten regularly because we produce loads of it.
*Major National Holidays (must have at least 2 and explain the origin of each)
Arrow Veto (April 18) - Described as the "best day of the year", Arrow Veto is the day where every good bought is tax free. Anything and everything bought on that day CANNOT be taxed. It was established in 1958 by Uskomex's first leader. This national holiday was the effect of a national refusal to pay taxes. This refusal or boycott lasted months and many scary antics took place during those months. At first, the leader ignored the acts thinking they would wear down, but when it only got worse, and so he gave in. The leader named it "Arrow Veto" because the people were aiming towards vetoing taxes like arrows.
Chocolat (December 3) - This is one of the few religious holidays and originated in Southern Uskomex in 1957, but officially became a national holiday in 1960. This idea came from Chocolism because the religion was most common in the Southern region of Uskomex, at the time. Ever since 1957, every December 3rd, small groups of Chocolism believers would visit different neighborhoods all over Uskomex and speak about their religion and hand out chocolates. In modern days, the tradition has since changed. A whole festival is organized in the capital city and thousands of people show up to play games, eat chocolate, enjoy good chocolaty music, and have fun!
*Cultural Norms, Customs, and Taboos (must have at least 2 of each)
Cultural Norms - Uskomex is somewhere in the middle of formal and casual. When greeting someone, it's fine to give a hug, smile, or a hand hug. A hand hug is when two people put their hands together, completely vertical and wrap their thumbs around the other person's hand. Fashion trends in Uskomex are different according to region you're in. Cities like Shinae love wild, GaGa fashion. Be-a-sti residents are more into metallics and biker boots. Moving on to food, Uskomexan normal food is seafood. Uskomexans love caviar, shrimp, crab, etc. This country believes in respect, responsibility, and honor over anything else--this is the proper way to be raised.
Customs - In doing a self introduction, it's perfectly fine to say your first name only. The neutral mentality of an Uskomexan is independence. One should learn how to be independent throughout their lifetime. In public affairs, it is considered impolite to speak openly and bluntly about private affairs. It's like Vegas: What happens there stays there; Uskomexans don't care.
Taboos - Abortion, Pedophilia, and Incest are considered to be the biggest taboos, and are looked down upon in Uskomex. In posher areas like Dobaishingi, "The GaGa Instinct" is considered a taboo. Dobaishingi is the most modern, chic city in Uskomex when it comes to fashion and the economy. They believe in Gucci and Prada while communities like Shinae believes in Alexander McQueen and Anna Sui. It's basically Lady GaGa vs the Victoria Beckham.

Beliefs
Popularity
Why?
Shomodans
  • Depicted as "The Natives"
  • Life in Prison
  • Mentality: "Always put strangers first"
  • Pro-Choice
  • Limited Freedom
Near 40% of country's population are Shomodans.
It all goes back to the foundation of Uskomex. The country was established by a large group of people who disliked anything that had to dictatorship--freedom freaks. Most native Uskomexans fall under this category along with a decent amount of foreigner-turned-citizens. This party's percentage has decreased immensely; over 90% of the country's population were Shomodans in the 50's through 70's.
Eveltics
  • Depicted as "The Indecisives"
  • Torture Treatment
  • "Go Green" Tactics
  • Mentality: "Helping those in need depends on my mood."
  • Unlimited Freedom
Near 42% of country's population are Eveltics.
There are many citizens who stand in the middle--majority of Uskomex's population. This party has always had a large following. A major role that plays into it is that people don't believe in the "Life in Prison" nor the "Death Penalty" as efficient resolutions. This party is for the middle-standers. The have the nickname "The Indecisives" because their beliefs are all over the place.
Cyndotes
  • Depicted as "The Aliens"
  • Death Penalty
  • Mentality: "Every man for himself."
  • Pro-Life
  • Unlimited Freedom
Near 18% of country's population are Cyndotes.
Because of Uskomex's good worldly reputation, they have had many visitors from all over the world--that have different beliefs. Some of the visitors [over a 56-year range] became citizens and changed the government, utterly. From 1955 to now, this party's percentage has consistently increased as more immigrants call this land home. Hence, their nickname being "The Aliens" because a majority of foreigners make up this party.
